Firefox Windows 10 Problems
This article explains how to download and install Firefox on Windows using a simplified online installer. (If you need a full, offline installer or custom options, see For advanced users, below.). To update Firefox from a previous version, see Update Firefox to the latest release. Go to Firefox Help Troubleshooting Information. Click the 'Reset Firefox' button. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
- Resize the Firefox window so you can see both your computer's desktop and the Firefox window on the same screen.
- Click the icon on the left of the address bar (where the URL is shown).
- While still holding the mouse button down, move the pointer to the desktop, then release the mouse button. The shortcut will be created.
Note: If drag and drop doesn't work in Firefox, see the article Drag and Drop errors with Firefox Launcher Process enabled and Windows UAC disabled - How to Fix.
You can also drag and drop items to the desktop from the Bookmarks menu and the Library window to create shortcuts.
If you open the shortcut you made, your default browser will open, and display the page for which you made the shortcut. If you want to make Firefox your default browser, see Make Firefox your default browser.
In addition, there may be third-party Firefox extensions that can help you. For more information on searching for and installing extensions, see Find and install add-ons to add features to Firefox. Ppct handcuffing technique manual.

Firefox Windows 10 Slow
In Windows 10, Microsoft changed the way apps are set by default yet again. It changed in Windows 8 too and became far too restricted so explicit user interaction was required. Software cannot set itself as the default app starting with Windows 8. Now in Windows 10, the user interface has changed. In this article, we will see how to set Firefox as the default browser in Windows 10.

By default, Windows 10 comes with a new browser, Microsoft Edge. This new browser is based on the Trident engine which was also used by Internet Explorer but it shares nothing else with IE which was a Win32/desktop app. Edge is a Modern app. Microsoft removed lots of legacy code from the rendering engine and left only support for new and actual standards. However, the browser is not just an updated engine, and Microsoft Edge lacks many options and end user features which every mainstream browser has onboard these days. That is why, many users do not consider Edge as a usable browser just yet and want to change the default browser in Windows 10 to something else. My browser of choice is Mozilla Firefox, so I will write instructions for this browser. However, all the steps below are applicable to any other browser like Opera, Google Chrome or Vivaldi. Follow these simple steps:Firefox Windows 10 64 Bit Download
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to System -> Default apps.
- There, scroll to the 'Web browser' section and pick Firefox (or any other browser you want to set as default).
This method will make sure that the browser is set as the default for all scenarios. Firefox will become the default browser for your user account.
That's it.
That's it.
